Middletown

Welcome to Middletown

Just 25 miles south of Wilmington, the charming down of Middletown, DE nestles into a verdant landscape of rolling fields and lush woods. Dating back to the mid 1800s, Middletown was once just a tavern-stop on an old cart road extending across the peninsula between Appoquinimink Creek in Odessa and Bohemia Landing on the eastern branch of the Bohemia River in Maryland. It was originally just one mile square and known as, "Diamond Town of the Diamond State". Today, Middletown is a vibrant modern town with strong ties to its rich history, including a quaint Downtown district. It is home to some of Delaware's finest Active Adult communities.

Outstanding Active Adult Communities

Several of Delaware's most popular active adult communities are located in Middletown, Delaware. Just a few of our favorites:

Springmill: The first Active Adult clbuhouse community in Middletown. It's comprised of 362 single-family homes and a clubhouse with a low monthly association fee. Although the community is sold out, resales are sometimes available.

Spring Arbor: This beautiful new maintenance-free community will have 317 homes upon completion.

Four Seasons at Silver Maple: Middletown's newest community and K. Hovnanian's latest offering in Delware. Four Seasons promises to be a great new community for Active Adults.

The Ponds at Bayberry: Construction is well underway at this new 55+ community. More than 52% of the community is reserved for open space, and its tree-lined streets, acres of parkland, and retail and recreational amenities will call to mind a small American town.
